Die relative Bestimmungsgrenze beträgt 0,08 mg/m3 ≙ 0,02 ml/m3 (ppm) an 1,2-Dichlorethan für 10 l Probeluft; das entspricht 0,8 µg 1,2-Dichlorethan je Aktivkohleröhrchen unter Verwendung von 100 mg Aktivkohle und 1 ml 1,4-Dioxan-Standardlösung.
